Our Services
When comparing architectural design services it is important to know what services your architect is going to provide for their fee. There are many firms to choose from, but not all offer the same level of service. The following are the standard services we offer on all projects.

Design: We work closely with you developing a comprehensive program for the project with strict attention to building structure, systems and materials that are suited to meet your needs and budget.
Consultant Coordination: We have an established network of consulting engineers who are top in their field. Our proposals include cost for Structural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing engineering.
Submittals: We submit all the necessary documents to secure a building permit including, the architectural review by your architectural review committee.
Construction Consulting & Observation: Probably one of the most important phases neglected by design professionals. As a forensics expert for the almost 25 years, I have observed many little issues that can occur during construction that can become huge problems down the road. We are in constant communication during construction to assure that your builder is providing the proper level and quality of materials and detailing as specified on the plans. We will review any “Change Order” presented to you by your builder and thoroughly investigate the affect such changes will have on the project as a whole. We are there to represent your best interest all the way through construction to the day you take occupancy.

As the architect for our recent campus expansion at West Valley Christian School. The greatest recommendation that I can give is this: DRD Architects accepted our invitation to be the architect for our project knowing that we had a very short time line on completing the project. I can thankfully say that the architect and the builder accomplished a task that no one said could be done. This took extreme cooperation between the architect, engineers, general contractor and sub-contractors.
This does not normally happen in my experience. Architects are a little different breed and they normally have an agenda that fits them and not necessarily their clients. DRD Architects is totally void of that label! We were able to work through the issues and complete the task in record time.

About our Principal
A graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Andrew relocated to Scottsdale Arizona in 1995. where he worked for some incredible Architects before making the decision to start Desert Ridge Design LLC. Andrew also offers forensic consultant services, providing expert testimony for litigation purposes. In addition, he has worked as a consultant for insurance carriers in property loss assessment cases. He has an extensive knowledge in construction and knows how to work within a budget.
